For sale, located in Northern Colorado, $30K. Originally sold in New Mexico, where in 1988 I became the second owner. It was my daily driver until the 55 MPH speed limit went away, and after that, my for-fun ride. During the time it spent in Illinois it was a garaged, summer-only vehicle. I had the Jeep Farm in Phoenix do a frame-off restoration, completed in 2023. Originally a four cylinder, I had a 1977 258 six installed as part of the work they did. I also had them paint a pair of hard half-doors at the same time. This Scrambler is featured in the Jeep Farm's restoration page on their website, although they mistakenly call it an '83. Look for the Illinois plates. Those photos best show the Vintage Red Metallic paint, which was the original color. The six cylinder engine is a much peppier improvement on the 151 four. Check your state registration rules on engine changes - this wrinkle is what knocked me out in Colorado. WY, NE, SD etc. might be great potential new homes for this Scrambler.
