Classic Expedition Rig
Build a classic for a safariRetro is cool, and hell, it always has been. Easter Jeep Safari 2012 was all abuzz with excitement because of Mopar Underground’s vehicles. Yeah, most of the hard parts on these rigs were donated from JKs, but all of the really popular vehicles were heavily themed towards retro rides. Think of the rebirth of the J-10 as the J-12, an LJ-based modern retro Willys wagon. And no one is gonna forget the Mighty FC—a modern version of what was until recently the total red-headed stepchild of the classic Jeep world. The fact is that a retro yet modern Jeep is a great project. Take, for example, our very own Ground Up. It fires right up, has much stronger components than the original version did, including better brakes, and requires less maintenance in terms of messing with points or tuning the carb for different altitudes.
