I had the doors off the Jeep the other day (First Time this Year:dbanana:) and I noticed a clicking sound as I accelerated the clicking went faster soon as i touch the brakes the clicking stopped. I thought it was a u-joint but they all look good could it be a wheel bearing?

By the fact that you said it goes away when you hit the brakes I would say it's coming from the brakes. Possibly the brake pads need a shim causing them to move around in the caliper making noise until you hit the brakes which keeps them from moving around abnormally.

Brakes are a pretty good bet, I would look at wheel bearings and lug nuts as well. jack it up and give things a spin and a shake.

The front calipers take special clips that hold the pads in place. They were missing on my jeep when I bought it, and it clicked and rattled. I got the kit from 4 wheel drive hardware.

I had orginally thought the same thing be I just had the brakes re done at a local repair shop I wrote it off. I will double check the brakes and see what happens.

I took the top off the jeep yesterday and took it over to the hobby shop on base gave the front wheels a good shake and nothing moved to the forward drive shaft and found nothing wrong moved to the main drive shaft and I found a worn out universal joint. Problem solved
