Have T-150 tranny shifts fine in all gears when enginr off or with engine on and tcase in nuetral but when tcase is in 2 hi and engine running grinds when trying to put it in reverse and 1-3 doesn't go in at all..any advice?
1979 Jeep CJ5 with 304 V8, T18 Transmission, Dana 20 Transfer case with TeraLow 3:1 gears, 4.88 axle gears, Detroit Locker up front and Ox Locker in back with 1 piece axle shafts, 36" SuperSwamper SX Tires, Shackle reversal, MileMarker Hydraulic winch, MSD 6A ignition.
I agree with mtnwhlr. It sounds like your clutch is just dragging. Let us know how much free play you have in the clutch pedal before it starts to disengage and we'll know if we are on the right track.
Not much now re adjusted cuz i had no results did have bout an inch before it had pressure if it helps I just got it a while back been doing stuff to it in order to be driveableso idk how long it sat
