Clutch play HELP

I have a 1985 CJ7 straight 6 AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l Bought a few months ago and slowly doing a little work. The clutch seems to work fine shifts smooth. but I noticed there was a lot of play in the pedal. It would go down 2-3 inches before getting hard then I noticed the clutch only engages in about the last 2-3 inches of the pedal before it hit's the floor or bottoms out. So I decided to get underneath and check it out, and this is what I found. I attached a video. If you could take a look and let me know what you think. I went through all the receipts the PO gave me and it looks like he put in a new center force clutch set, clutch disc, linkage kit and throwout bearing in 2004. Thanks

Everything looks normal,you just need to adjust the free play as measured at the pedal.
Loosen the jam nuts and take out free play until you have about 1" at the pedal.Retighten the jam nuts .

Ok I wasn't sure there was suppose to be that much play in the metal piece that sits in the boot where the plastic ball sits.
