Looking for a good off-the-shelf center console. Front and rear holders and lockable.

Any thoughts or feedback?

I've got this one on my CJ5 , and i love it. Bit pricey, but indestructible.

Anyone have the Smittybilt? Seems like everyone complains about the drink holders in everything except the Smittybilt and the Tuffy. I think the Tuffy is more than I want to spend despite the fact that it may be worth it.

I have the smittybilt. It was pretty easy to install. Didn't really need to level it. It pretty much conforms to the tub. I like it.

Does these consoles fit the shorter wheel based CJ5 ? I just purchased the Select Increments Intrapod and it doesn't fit. Only CJ7 wheelbase. Too bad bc it's got an awesome layout with room for an 8" subwoofer.

A bit of trivia, and probably well known by this group, the original center console was meant to double as an ice chest and has a drain hole that goes through the floor. Never used mine for that function but it is a cool concept.

That's the one that came with my buddies 84 when he got his new. Mine in 84 didn't come with one. Just 1 of the reasons his cost 50 percent more than mine

Not the best shots but it's the one that came with it new.

Had one of these in my first CJ Years ago.... drove it back and forth to college, and the PO had cut a piece of plywood fit in the bottom. I left it, just too lazy to take it out. Carried a million candlepower spot light with back then, and it was usually gouged in and stashed it the console. On one of the two hour drive back to school, my roommate and I started smelling smoke. Pulled over, dug all around under the hood, no smoke. Went back to get in and the entire cab was full of smoke. Somehow the switch had been turned on, and that light was face down on the plywood. Almost burned all the way thru. Learned a valuable lesson that day..... LOL

i bought the same one and had to raise the back by 3" or so to make it level.
