While talking to Rob at Willys Works today he said something very interesting to those of you that have converted a J-10 T-18 truck Transmission to a CJ Transmission . If it is in good shape, the long input shaft and bearing retainer is worth serious money. Rob says that some throw out bearings will tear up the long bearing retainers. While it is easy to find short Ford/Jeep input shafts, it is almost impossible to find the longer J-10 versions. So, don't toss your long J-10, T-18 parts. Rob has seen used long bearing retainers go for over $100. Now for used parts that you might consider to be junk that is serious money.

This is like deja vu

maybe, I had the same post in drive train, but it showed 0 looks. I thought maybe the title wasn't specific enough. This is about, one mans junk is another mans treasure.

Edit: oops another look shows 57 views and 0 replies. My mistake guys. I would hate to have someone throw or ignore valuable parts.
