Cool modern/retro knob stereo

Check this out for the people who have not cut the dash. This is a knob stereo. It has an MP3 jack, usb connect, RCA jack and CD changer control capable. Very cool.

Im digging it. I had on OE Jeep radio, new in box a couple years back, it got crushed in storage, but the face survived, and was like new, it sold for almost $200 on ebay, just for the "face" of it. Makes this sound like a real good deal.

These type of radios are exactly what I am looking to get for mine.

Avoid installing unit where it would be subject to high temperatures such as in direct sunlight or a hot air stream or where it would be subject dust, dirt or excessive vibration.

Well that pretty much excludes it from being mounted in my Jeep.

I agree. It is very cool that the buyer can customize the look of the radio to match the look of the jeep. I would probably just do basic black, but that is what my Jeep is. I really just want something to fit in the stock dash. My friend has one mounted in the center console, but the dash has a hole in it, which looks stupid. I also am not about to cut my dash. The only problem with the radio is that it is a bit expensive.

I have my stereo mounted in the center console. The PO cut my dash all to pieces trying to mount an aftermarket stereo in there. After I moved the stereo to the console I found this Kentrol 30521 - Kentrol Polished Stainless Steel Gauge Cover (w/o Radio Cutout) for 77-86 Jeep® CJ - Quadratec to cover the butchered up hole the PO made and it looks great. Plus I can now lock my stereo up so that I don't have to worry about it getting stolen.

I do not want to cut my dash either and those delete plates look terrible. I have a custom SS gage cover on my CJ5 but I do not want that on the CJ8 so a stocker stereo is the best method I think.
