I am thinking about picking up a set of Corbeau Seats for the Jeep I was looking at the GTS II or the Sport Seat. Or something that will incorporate a five point harness. Thanks for any assistance. :chug:

In your CJ - should be an easy swap. I think you'll be happy with either of them - just make sure you sit in them before you buy them - some of use just don't fit into those seats like others...

I know a couple people with them, as CJ said see if you can sit in them first, they are not made for big people.
I just got a pair of the baja ulta ss for christmas but don't have them instaled yet.

What in the holy :censored: do you need five point harness' for?

I don't doubt the effectiveness or usefullness of a good 5 point harness. But jswatson and I (and a handful of others) live in the state of CT. Where it is basically illegal to wheel anywhere other than private property. And I know for a fact that js uses his CJ as a daily driver, so why in the world would you want to screw with a 5 point harness every time you get in and out of your CJ?

Ahh - you don't have to use all 5 points every time - I just use the lap belt for normal driving... :)

Okay, but what do you do with the rest of the belts? Isn't sitting on the shoulder straps for any amount of time annoying and uncomfortable? Where are the rest of the straps, just flung about on the floor where a kid can screw with them?

I had brackets on the back of the seat my shoulder belts latched to and for the submarine belt there was a latch under the seat. No flopping around for me.

I had to make them as the seats didn't come with them.

The reason behind the 5-point harness is for the wife so she will feel safer while driving around with the top/ doors off duing the one week of the year we can actually drive our CJs around with top/ door removed. I want to replace the seats because I can not adjust the angle of the back of my current seat. So a new seat with 5-point harness should solve both problems. :chug:
