Curious as to where you look to buy your parts.

I found buyer expectations can easily exceed real word logistics, and then they want to hang me out for their unrealistic expectations !

That's exactly why I can't work in retail. Business-to-business service and sales is hard enough. I think the difference is that with medium to large enterprises, the guy on the other end is less likely to take it personally. After all, he's not spending his money. He's spending shareholder money and the expectations feel easier to manage to me.

I mean, I've never had someone scream at me about price or call me stupid. I've seen people do that at dealership parts counters and I feel for those guys.

Working to keep end-users/consumers happy, keep them returning as customers takes finesse I do not possess.

Good luck!

Yes Jon, I had to agree with the above 100%. Good that you know your limits, I have mine too. There are certain "brands" or "channels" I steer clear of, because Ive found the hard way, I cant "work" with that section of the buying public.

The only up side to selling jeep parts, 99% of the time, a jeep owner is anxious to make the purchase, and wants the parts, does not need them, as in, its a toy, the jeep that is.

The dealers counter, yeah, I can see that be a "thick skin" required position in some markets.

I only found my way into this mess, as the 2007-2008 economic change came about, I was on the front side of the layoffs of that whole mess and figured Id be jobless for a couple years, turns out I was wrong, Im now jobless for 7 years. I had the money at the time, I know the product, figured it would be a way to keep busy while the economy recovered.

Thanks for wishing me luck. Bill
