Looking to go through my front axle which is a Dana 30 . Mainly seals and joints. I'm leaning towards MOOG for the ball joints. Are there any recommendations for better quality parts with seals, tie rods, brakes etc. Certain brand parts to stay away from? Best places to buy from?

Timken is the best bearing, National or Timken make good seals, Moog is great for ball joints, tie rods and bushings, Synergy is making some really good sintered metal ball joints and I think they are also making sintered metal tie rods now as well

The stock stuff usually uses a metal ball stud with plastic socket, synergy is making the sockets out of powdered metal that’s heated or pressed at high pressure I’m not sure which process they are using, so the socket now has a higher impact and wear resistance than stock tie rods and ball joints, I bought their ball joints and am going to buy their tie rods for when I paint my Jeep later down the road

Big tires put more pressure on stock ball joints which fatigues them faster

Wow that's super interesting! Is synergy the only one doing that or is MOOG doing the same?

Try your local NAPA. They carry Dana and Moog also.
Don't forget the spindle bearing. ;)
Stay away from Crown and Omix/Alda

Thanks Lumpy! I have read mixed reviews about those brands.

Dana/Spicer made your front axle..
Moog has been mak'n front end parks for many decades.
I have never had an issue with them.
Good luck,
LG

I've noticed most parts online whether it's seals or bearings are mainly crown or omix. It's a shame. One thing I have learned through this build is finding quality parts seems difficult to do 🤦🏻*♂️

Crown and Omix dominates the online stuff but Orielly auto and Napa both carry Moog
