Dana 300 Speedo cable question

I just put a Dana 300 into my 56 CJ5 and now can't figure out how to attach my speedo to it.

theres a fitting on the tail shaft of the Transfer Case , the cable goes into it with the gear down into it then the cap spins down on the threaded fitting. but you older speedo and cable may not work with it.
