dana 300 u-joint upgrade

Hello, has anyone upgraded their Dana 300 case to accept a larger u-joint? I'd like to ditch the tiny dana bolts and straps. Thanks for any info.

changing to a u-bolt from straps will not give you a bigger u-joint.
It would be kinda pointless unless you plan to change to bigger joints
in the rest of the drivetrain also.

Bigger joints would be great, but right now I'm have trouble with shearing the bolts off. For now the u-bolts will help. I would like to go with a "ford" style flanged unit but don't know if that is possible with out custom pieces being made.
