I am having grounding issues causing the dash lights to be very dim. I already replaced the bulbs with their led equivalents. The 4x4 and BRAKE lights on the dash are super bright as are the turn signal indicators but the speedo lights are very dim.

Where is the main ground for the dash lights? I cannot get under the dash to look up and see at all due to shifters being in the way. Can i catch up with the ground near the fuse box? Anyone have a pic of the ground i am looking for?

Any help would be appreciated.

The instrument cluster lights ground to the gauge and speedo cluster, and that grounds to the dash by four screws and bolts. The main issue is where does your dash ground? I have my dash grounded straight to battery negative. If you are grounding through the body via a strap off the Transmission or engine block, you may find (a) that strap is ripped off like mine, or (b) the grounding strap may have corroded to next-to-nothing, like one other on my jeep.

Here are a couple of pix I made, one I borrowed, the first time I attacked the no-temp-no-fuel problem.

bonne chance

thanks man! i think the very first pic is the one i needed to see. It shows the ground top right of the cluster and dissapearing to the right off camera. I might be able to cut that ground and reground it elsewhere yea?
