What should I run for a diff oil in a open diff? Is there a good better best or any additives that a person should run. In my last I think I ran 80-90

80w90 is sufficient for an open diff. Additives really aren't necessary unless you have a Limited slip.

I see you are in Canada.

I like synthetic 80/90 in the cold. Better mileage and doesn't need to warm up.

I dump it in the Spring and run regular gearlube during the Summer. It's cheaper. Mine spends a lot of time under water and needs to be changed often.

The weather kills oil up here. I had a truck and the diff got water in it all the time. The only thing I could come up with was condensation from parking in a heated shop then going out in 40 below zero weather. Not a problem this year so far. know need to park inside this year due to balmy weather. A couple picks from just one day in my drivrway

No snow around here this year. Lucky you. Snow is like running in clean mud with no pressure washing afterwards.

Haven't even pulled the cover on the snowmobile yet.
