Difficulty steering an electric CJ-5...

- I have 2 1981 CJ5's. One is 4-Cyl, 151 (California Model). The other used to be the same, but I converted it to an all-electric 4WD CJ-5.
I just wanted to close this out.
The difficulty in steering came from the u-joints in the front drive shafts. Right was much worse than the left but both were not good. I just finished replacing them both and now the wheel spins smoothly from left to right and back. When driving, there is no darting and it feels nice and smooth. I can even say I was surprised how easy the steering ended up being given the fact that it is manual.
