Thank you ! I had planned on the clutch and pressure plate. I also need to get a power steering gear box, The 83 has power steering pump .

buy a new/reman unit there cheap enough. dont forget to get a new pitman arm they are different. everything else is reusable

I also have a borgeson steering shaft. From what I've read the shafts on the power steering box are a different spline and diameter than the manual box. Can someone point me to which coupler I need ?

I believe the input shaft for manual steering is a 3/4" shaft and the power steering gear box uses a 13/16" inch input shaft with a 36 spline count. And BTW - When you count the splines, count half and multiple by 2 rather than count all the splines all the way around. That is because you need to extrapolate the count to include where the flat spot on the shaft is. So you will need a lower coupler for a 13/16" by 36 spline gear box input shaft to the Borgeson 7/8" DD shaft. Just for reference, the upper u-joint (if you need it also) would be for the 7/8" DD Borgeson shaft to the 1" DD steering column shaft. Any u-joint couplers with these dimensions will work. Doesn't have to be Borgeson parts. You can by the whole setup (not Borgeson) here for under $100: CJ Power Steering Shaft Kit or just get the lower Borgeson coupler part #034940. Here's one source: Borgeson 034940 Coupler

I got the engine in and it runs good, BUT I have a vibration when giving her the gas in 1st and 2nd. Its probably still there in 3rd and 4th just not as noticeable. I replaced the clutch, pressure plate, throw out and pilot during the
change. I did not change the flywheel because it was in good shape. Before I drop the Transmission and Transfer Case are there any other things I need to look at ? I will be checking the Transmission mount, motor mounts this weekend. I have checked the u joints and have no movement . Pilot bearing maybe ?

After checking everything ,the u joints, motor mounts and Transmission mount are good. I removed the rear driveshaft, locked the hubs and put it 4 wheel high. Went for a ride and the vibration is gone. Ordered a double cardin driveshaft. I think maybe the new engine changed the tilt of my Transfer Case just enough to give me bad vibes. I also ordered new rubber motor and Transmission mounts but the old ones don't appear bad.
