If you have this combo, I got a few questions.

Where did your shifter location end up?

Where did your Transmission mount end up?

What did you have to do for driveshafts?

Can you still get the speedo gears for the Dana 300 ?

Hopefully, some of your questions get answered on Chipflyers post in the Drivetrain section. I don't have the NP435, but might be able to help you. The shifter location can be adjusted with a torch and if you have to shorten or lengthen it, well that can be done also. I had to shorten mine about a foot since the shifter was designed to go in a school bus, along with move it into a more usable location. For the shift ball threads, I drilled and tapped a hole at the top end and inserted a long set screw. The tranny mount should come with the adapter kit, although I had to make mine by taking a few measurements and trying to keep it mounted as low as I could to try an minimize driveshaft angle even with the double cardan u-joint. I have seen guys just use the oem mount.
You can get speedo gears from the big box 4wd outfits also.

I don't have an NP435 either, but the NP435/Dana 300 would be a sweet setup. I have a T-18 /Dana 20 combo in mine with 4.10 gears and I feel it's geared decent in low range for 35's. The NP435/Dana 300 combo would match my low range with 3.08 gears! Not that it has anything relevant to your post, but that's impressive for a stock Transmission and stock Transfer Case .

IIRC, Novak claims that with their adapter, the NP435 and Dana 300 combo is the same length as a T-4 /Dana 300 combo. That should give you an idea about driveshafts, especially whether or not you need a double cardan. But I know of quite a few T-4 /T5s CJs (including my brother's and my cousin's) that run 4" lift with single cardan shafts and no issues. I'm not sure how AA's adapter compares.

Thanks, that covers most of it. The shifter though. I may have worded that question wrong. What I was looking for there is I'm wondering where the shift tower is going to line up with the access panel on the hump. Will it be close or right on the old hole for the shifter or will it wind up more forward or behind the old shifter hole? Novak offers a blank panel for this, but some applications may be different depending on which Transmission you're replacing. I'm replacing a T-150 . So it's a compact Transmission . The 435 looks closer to a T-18 which is a few inches longer.

With my lift kit on there, it stretched the length of my rear drive shaft. I'm just wondering if the longer setup will help with that. Might have to wait and find out. It's hard to measure accurately on the vehicle but I don't have the 435 and Dana 300 mated yet to get a measurement.

I went from a T-150 to a T-18 (original CJ version) and the shifter still fits the same hole. I'm not sure if the shifter is in the exact same spot as the T-150 , but it's pretty darn close and is fairly centered in the hole.

I can get you a measurement from the front of the T-18 to the shifter if that would help. It's currently out for a rebuild so it's easy to measure right now.

edit: I don't know how the Dana 300 shifter will fall compared to the Dana 20 though.

Jp360cj, that pretty much sums it up then. Not measurements needed. I may just need to mess with the shift cane.

I figure the Dana 300 twin shifters should be close also. For some reason I wasn't too concerned with them and really should be. I guess I'll get it all done and then find out.

Thanks

I'll be running the 435 with a Dana 20 and I'm also curious about these questions as well. Let me know what you find. Also, what Transmission mounts are you using?
