ON THE HUNT AGAIN
Found an interesting thread on another forum and thought I'd start it up here.

How do you secure your dog (animals) in the jeep to keep them safe?
Not just to keep them from randomly hopping out but safe say during a roll over?

I used a pull harness for my pit.
It goes around the neck/chest, chest, down the belly and back.
The clip point in on the dogs back. I used a grade 8 eye bolt
center mounted and used plastic coated cable to keep the dog in
place in case of a roll. It was the best security system
I ever installed.

Here's a link to one on cabela's:

this is a very interesting question. I had never thought about a roll over or even an accident of any kind, I should give it some thought.
The closest My Aussie comes to providing security is all the young girls that want to pet and talk to him tend to make too much of a crowd for the potential bad guys to work in. Oh well, I try to never leave anything in the CJ that is worth steeling.

I do like the harness idea rather than a collar.

I'd like to see more info on harnesses- most setups I've seen look like they would do about as well as my lap belt at keeping my dog out from under my rollcage if my oil pan saw the sun. So far I think she would be better off being able to jump clear rather than being tied to a rolling Jeep.
