Driver Blinker??

Hey folks,

83' CJ7 , AMC 304 ...

My passenger side blinker works great, hazards on both sides work ok..now the fun part. drivers side blinker turns on, but doesn't blink; front and rear on on and bright but no blinking....

Questions or fixes would be greatly appreciated.

First things that come to mind would be easy checks... Correct bulbs? If one of the bulbs is incorrect crazy things could happen. If the bulbs are correct, check the contact and make sure it is clean. Still not working, then next check for grounds in the housing. Make sure the have a good connection.

Thanks for calling me out!

After I tried all the usual things: ground, corrosion on connections, bulbs...

I moved into the switch in the steering column; ended up switching out steering columns.

Turns out the entire housing for the blinker was bad; couldn't believe I didin't try it from the beginning?
