as far as I can see this game is all about gears. with the right drive train you could use the motor out of your riding mower. I say put your money in axles, Transmission and Transfer Case and think dependable rather than displacement when you decide on a motor.

you could run a 4banger but with low gears it will 4wheel with the best of them.

Don't ask me why, but in the 7 years I've been in the 4wd club i'm in
I've seen more broken axles and other misc. parts with jeeps with
4 poppers in them than 6's or v8's.
Oh yea it's not just that the drivers are crazyer either.

Thats me I don't have gears or lockers or high hp and 31s so it's just crazy that gets me thru just ask the members I've gone 4wheeling with.
