Hey Guys! I know there's no stupid questions, just stupid people, but in 20 years of owning CJ5s I've never completely understood how to use the climate control knobs. I always engaged the Air, Temp, and Fan to get heat, but when driving her today, I only puled out the temp knob and got plenty of heat from under the dash. I just want to make sure I'm not doing something I shouldn't. Has someone done a simplified guide or could share a screenshot from the AMC owners manual? Thanks!

I believe what you did was top only open up the valve that allows hot coolant into the heater core. This will bring some heat.

I think this is also a great way to find pinhole leaks in your heater hose lines. Since they will get nice and warm when doing this.
