Duraspark mods for EFI

I just ordered the AFI kit for my AMC 304 and had them prewire the harness so I can use my own distributor instead of giving them another $375 for theirs. I have been searching like crazy to find what mods I need to make for ecm spark control but haven't found it in concrete yet (probably due to the stupid bluecoat filter on my govt. computer).

It appears I need to secure the mechanical advance with some wire and just disconnect the vacuum advance (from Bill USN-1's site). It looks like I also need to get a GM dizzy module of some type to wire into? Any help or pics showing how to complete these steps would be a huge help. I am going to do the team rush mod at the same time as well if that matters. Thanks in advance (no pun intended).

Does AFI just use the DS for rpm sense, or does their computer actually control the advance?

If its the second one you tack weld the centrifugal advance, disconnect the vac, and you need to wire in a 7 pin HEI module:

The ESC mod is for an HEI but it should be the same process. Its pretty simple I. Just did it on an ebay hei I had sitting around. Haven't had a chance to see if it works yet.
