Misc E-Brake Cable Floor Hole?

I replaced the floor pans on my 78 CJ7 build and there is no hole punched or marked for the e-brake cable to pass through. Can anyone give me the (approximate) measurements from the left side and firewall as well as the diameter of hole to drill? Also what grommet is right or best to use to protect the cable? Thanks.

Here's a few shots of mine. Floor has never been replaced. Here's the cable itself, then a tape measure showing 3 inches from the left side to the center of the hole, then another showing 1 inch down from the firewall/floor seam to the center of the hole.

As for the grommet, the factory part # J5351742.
