Did a search but couldn't find what I was looking for so....

Can anyone tell me if the Mopar 4.0L EFI kit can be used with an original 1974 AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l ? Would you need to swap heads to a later version - is that possible? Or would an entirely "new" engine need to be used (from the 80's or 90"s)?

Thanks in advance.

you are looking to put multi port injection on the AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l ??

Yes, thinking about it. Just would like to know if its do-able. What else would need to be changed to use this original block? Head? Exhaust manifold? Would it be better to use a newer engine? and if so, what years would work. Want to stay with a straight six, preferably the AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l .
