I just bought a 80 CJ5 with the 4cyl. engine. It came with a Rochester Varajet #17080781. The engine was taken apart. I have since got it running, but need a picture of a stock cj with the carb hooked up so I can figure where everything goes. This is a Ca. car. Can anyone help me? I am desparate. Thanks in advance.

The '76-'77 AMC 304 was 120HP 220ft-lb, the '78 was 130HP 238ft-lb, the '79-'81 was 125HP 220ft-lb.

The 134ci 4cyl started out as an L-head (valves in head) and than the F-head, the two intake valves in head and the two exhaust valves still in the block. Bore is 3 1/8, Stroke is 4 3/8. Blocks were the same, Head were different between the L and F heads, as i recall.

I think you twistwed it up a bit... The L head(L134 "Go Devil" ) had it's valves in the block and the F head(Huricane) had it's intake valves in the head and it's exhaust in the block.
The L head produced 60 HP
The F head 72-75 HP.
