So i'm sick and tired of waiting for my sister to get my Elk head mounted, So im taking matters(literally nasty gross matter from a elk head) into my own hands. I'm going to do my first European skull mount with my 5x5 bull head, now i just have to find a big enough pot and i should be good to go! the other stuff is easy to get and im going to have my fiancee talk to her nail lady to get me some of the good bleach!

here's what i really wanted to know, do ya guys want me to take pictures for ya ? Oh ya im going to make my own plaque for it to! this should be fun!

When I do mine, I suspend it in a big pot & boil :dung: out of the inside. let dry.
No bleach, no problem.;)

I have to go to a thrift store and find a big pot but im going the route of scraping as much as everything off as possible and then boiling it out and such and scraping the brains out and such and i want it whiter then snow so im going to bleach it! then find someone with a router so i can make my plaque! or just hang it on the garage!

damn how did you get it that white??

I put the head, as in just cut off the carcass. In a pot of water, suspended. So as to not be in contact with the bottom of the pot & boiled it. after it got soft. I cut the hide portion off & boiled it some more. That's it, no bleach. ;)

I have done a few the same way. Just boiled the :dung: out of it, and lit it sit in the sun to dry. Came out nice and white every time.

just add a few potatoes and carrots an onion maybe a d season to taste,

Leave it out and the damn rat/squirrels will eat it up, LOL.
I used a bore cleaning brush and a drill to scrabble everything up and just poured out the grey matter. Then changed my mind and just did a skull cap with horns.
