I'd like everyone to know I spoke with Scott , the forum owner and administrator today. He asked me to relay this message to everyone. He hasn't given up on this website, in fact it's his favorite one or as he stated "His baby". Sometimes life interrupts. And sometimes it interrupts others alot harder than we'd wish. One would think it's hard enough to deal with rheumatoid arthritis but adding Cancer and Cancer treatments to that would break the will of the majority of people. Not Scott. He's been working and pressing forward to deal with and overcome these illnesses. Let me tell you he sounded very positive on the phone. I'd ask you all to send up a prayer for his total recovery.

Now this leads to some things that will be happening with the site. Many of you well know the log and email issues we've had here for awhile. Changes in the software are coming. The visual effects of the site are going to change. This software change will fix the other issues going on with the site. I know a lot of people hate change , myself included but I hope once its implemented everyone will appreciate that it fixes the faults and improves the function. Just an FYI for everyone who emailed me with log in issues I have your info and will definitely out a mass email once the issues are worked out.

My words only now. There is life beyond the Internet. Please don't complain about website issues after you read the first paragraph of this post. There is a ton of FREE information here. We appreciate all our members and ask only that we have a respectable and helpful forum.

Scott God Bless and thanks for this site and our friendship

Pete

Without doubt this is the most even tempered sites I've ever been on. For an administrator that in itself is a legacy to be proud of. Then there is the over all quality of the information willingly given up to anyone that has a problem. That is another thing to be proud of. Sure occasionally we regular members/posters have differences of opinion, like whether or not a frame is designed to flex. But those are minor and in the end I believe we are most generally all correct in some ways and nobody seems to walk away with a grudge. That's something right there. So, I thank you and Scott for this site and hope health returns to all.

I'm so sorry, that' s terrible news! Thank you for letting us know whats been going on. My dad is going through the same thing. He's a Vietnam Vet, and they think he got it through Agent Orange.

My thoughts and prayers are with him. :o

Godspeed on your recovery Scott (CJ)! Thank you for letting us in during an obvious difficult time.

So sorry to hear this. Curt and I talk about this most every day. CJ has brought so much good into our lives through this forum. We will continue to keep him in our thoughts and prayers. I wish there was more we could do.

Scott - if you see this - warm hugs are sent your way.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I know a lot of work is going on behind the scenes right now. Stay tuned. The appearance of the site will change with the new software but the site will function like it should. Cj is in the process of copying all the information from this site over to the new software. No small undertaking but it is coming along. Thanks everyone for your patience. :D

I'll back you on that one. Many years ago when I was a moderator on Predator Masters we went through a software upgrade and data migration that was incredibly painful and I might add expensive. There most certainly were unavoidable glitches. Some members disappeared, posts were lost and member numbers changed. We were experiencing some of the very same issues this board has been experiencing, time and programming technology simply passed us by. In the end all of the pain was worth it though. With the relative maturity, not age, but mental maturity show on this board I'm sure this we will weather what ever difficulties we see on the membership side. Thanks for the update.

I got an email for a reply to my thread today. It was like Christmas all over again. But I'm easy. :D Many thanks to Cj , Elwood and anyone else who's taking their personal time to fix these issues. :notworthy:

I want to thank all of you for your hard work to keep the best CJ site going :chug::notworthy::chug::notworthy::rock:

Got to talk to Scott again on Friday. In light of recent moments he decided to retire. This had lead to him feeling a bit better. It seems that some of the medication he was taking was actually causing adverse effects. Now that he's not taking those meds he's feeling better. I know he's been busy replacing a body mount on a certain CJ8 as well as putting a bunch of time into the new site software. He told me to wish everyone well and loo for the launch of the new site soon.:chug:

I wish Scott my best wishes. We LOVE you man.

Glad to hear Scott's feeling better - and if this site's gonna get better, I'm gonna hafta sit down. There are other, larger, Jeep sites out there, but this is the only one that seems open to new folks. This one feels like home...... except without the crazy people. I am thoroughly enjoying my time here. You guys have put together a great site!!

Rob
