bought rebuilt engine,seller got it as salvage,from a sad jeep owner,said crank locked up only a few miles into break in,engine builder polihsed crank,replaced bearings ,they failed once more,how do i fix this?

Mic the journal to make sure it's not out of round. Polish it again. Make sure bearing has right amount of clearance. There is a reason the same bearing is failing. You need to find the reason.

Need to have line bore checked also. Could be many things including wrong torque on a cap, cap and block not to spec, a cap in the wrong place or even a bad journal that is not to spec for the thrust bearing play.

don't have it home yet,will crack it open soon,builder did 2 repairs under warranty,then refused any more work, seller said something about shims?. are ther any common oiling issues ,
