Hi to all,
I'm trying to nail down the year of manufacture of a old airco yellow jacket welder/generator it is powered by the F134 Hurricane hurricane engine.
I'm hoping to do this by the engine serial number 4?163427.
The ? Mark is for that digit being only a partial strike by the stamp, it is a straight partial vertical strike at the top.
Another set of stamped numbers appears on machined surface above #1 exhaust port it is
47051C , carb# YF 0944 ( it does have a govenor) , fuel pump is AC 572 BUT also has a L7 stamp on the tag as well.
Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
BTW- Engine fired and ran great after being left in a field for years!!
Thanks Mark

That is one hell of a great contraption. Perfectly working generator. I wish I could have that... Beautiful!
As far as the F engine, unfortunately they are all the same. Mas produced and hundreds of thousands still working. A great engine.
