So I'm a bit lost for some reason when I look at the diagram for bolting on this fan shroud. Any help would be appreciated:

It looks to me like the fan shroud and radiator should be bolted on at the same time with the four bolts that go through the front clip. However, there seems to be a bit of space between the shroud and the radiator on the passenger side. The pic it is NOT showing this space and is not tightened I just added it to demonstrate what I'm doing. If I push on it (as in tighten bolt) it seems to bow out the shroud at the top. My FSM looks like it shows the bolts going through the front of the clip (toward the motor) to install radiator, and then shroud bolts install from motor side to the clip. This seems really odd to me and I'm sure I'm reading it wrong.

Anyone feel like chiming in or posting a diagram with an explanation haha.

I should add that I bought this shroud used and I'm about 95% certain that it's the correct one. Of course the original shroud set up is lost to the PO hence why I'm asking for opinions.

Thanks

Thats how my '84 Shroud bolts up. The four bolts hold both as in your pic.

Thanks ...appreciate it. Manged to get it in so that was good. Started it up and was wondering why all of a sudden I had an exhaust leak  ...lol, took me about 5 seconds to realize "it was the shroud idiot". Lowered it a bit and it's good to go.

That and the new fan clutch and no more overheating. Now I get to take it to the smog shop...fun times
