Been to the lighthouse and beach a couple of times. Beautiful area. Didn't have my jeep, so no dunes. Made it to the edge of the dunes,but I don't think that counts

Yes there is something about just cruising around in your jeep with no place to be. I didn't get any good pics of the dunes because there was so much surface water everywhere on most trails.Been going to Florence about 20 years with a mix of three wheelers,banshee quads,jeeps. Couple mor pics. We stay at the Odd Fellows Lodge RV Park. If you are a member you can check it out .Very nice people and well operated park and reasonable prices.The bonus is access to the dunes from the park.

What a great place to play in. When I was there, the first thing you learn is the fact that many/most of the 'bumps' on the beach ain't sand. They're down'd trees......
