Here is the solution for my daughter (and wife) to get up in the CJ. It is a folding stool with 300 pound capacity to put on the ground to climb in. Once they are in, they use the string to pull the stool up and in...

Are you serious or is this just for a little chuckle? :)

Actually serious...

7.5 inch spring lift plus 35 inch tires plus makes the floorboard about shoulder high to my daughter. I put in some tuff country velcro handles on the passenger side roll bar down low to help her pull herself up into the back seat. She is so proud when she pulls up the stool and folds it up.

Perhaps the photos don't do justice to showing the height. The floor board is belly high to me. I have to do a mini chin-up myself on the roll bar to pull myself up into the driver's seat. And I am six feet tall.

This weekend I'll try to get some pictures of my youngest daughter loading up.

On the other end, my oldest two sons are 6'4" & 6'5" tall. They practically step "down" into the CJ... ;-)

Yep. Both my brothers are 6'4", my Dad is 6'3". At 5'10", being around them is the only time I get to feel dainty. I come up to their chins :)

Strap handles low on the passenger side roll cage and my daughter next to the jeep:
(Note the foldes stool behind the velcrow handles)

Even with the stool, it is quite a stretched step up:

Pulling up the stool afterwards:

What a great helper you have for these action shots! My wife wanted me to have a stool for getting in mine ( not nearly as tall as yours) but I never did it. I put sliders on and said if you can't reach them, I guess I could help you get in. That is as far as I got. She never rides in it anyway.

I may be forced to copy your idea. I hate my cheapo rock rail, tube things.

I really lucked out on the stool. Our local hardware store had them on sale and only had one in black. It has a 300 pound capacity, folds flat, and fits perfectly on the wheel well next to the rear seat.

In all honesty, I stand behind my daughter while she climbs in so that she does not slip and fall backward, but she does all of the climbing on her own.

My wife is 5'9" but finds the stool to be helpful as well...

BTW, the tuff country hand grips are taken from our wrangler. I had put six of them in the wrangler and found that the two on the rearmost roll cage are not used so I just reappropriated them to the CJ.

Thats great, to have a CJ you need to be resourceful. :notworthy:

My CJ5 isn't lifted that high, but my wife's only 5'. That might be a good idea, if I can take all the :dung: I'll get from her....

My wife has used it as well when she has ridden with me and she is 5'9". She did well and had a lot of fun!

My concern with the stool just sit'n where it is. That in a roll-over or a crash. That stool will hurt and do damage to a body--
Can you strap it down??

Valid concern.

They say that in higher speed accidents anything such as a box of tissues on the back dash under the window is capable of becoming a projectile and breaking someone's neck.

I don't spend any real time going at speed in general. I put around the small town where I live and drive 5 miles to the neighboring small town where I work. There is a small stretch of 50 mph highway in between the two that I drive.

The stool itself is quite light which is surprising considering the 300 pound weight limit. I believe that the strength comes mostly from its design and materials.

Now that you mention it, I have no loose items within the jeep except for an ever present roll of paper towels (for checking the oil and wiping excess WD-40) and that plastic stool.

It wouldn't hurt to look into some means of securing the stool while also keeping it accessible to boarding passengers...

A moderate speed 'T' bone on your D/S will turn the folded chair into an axle blade--
Seen it to many times in my past life as an LEO--

Yeah, I'm thinking that the folded stool is going to live under the passenger side rear seat or perhaps under the passenger side front seat. Under the rear seat has the best potential for keeping the stool contained during any sort of accident while still being accessible when boarding. There is only a slit of space under the seat that the flat folded stool can be slid under and then it can be pulled out by the string when needed.
