I agree with Dave. Mine is actually not bad on the street and highway (would like more power or a over drive to make it better on the highway) but its a handful by today's standards. No day dreaming while driving, no safety sensors to save you from stupid mistakes, braking distance with the 37"s at speed isn't fantastic.

But on a nice spring day or summer evening, no top, no doors, nothing I'd rather drive. :)

You guys are awesome, this is great information!

Ok, I'm sure I will do the SOA lift with the current axles (Dana 30 /AMC20 ) and i'll plan on doing new axles next year.

So YJ springs for the front but what about the rear? There will be new springs at every corner regardless because I know they use a type of liner between each leaf now which helps them to move more freely. Anything to make it better..... Isn't the rear the same width as the YJ? So do we YJ the rears or just go with OEM?

I'm still thinking 33's for tires. 35's would be as big as I would go (I think). 33x12.5x15 or 35x12.5x15..... on 15x10 rims.

Yes, the YJ and CJ rears are both the same width and pretty much the same length. YJs are a touch longer, but not enough to make any difference. One thing I did notice is that the spring capacities are different. And also the YJ springs are much cheaper
