I have pulled the engine out of our jeep and is now on a engine stand. I started removing valve covers, oil pan, water pump and now I'm trying to get the frozen damper bolt out so I can remove the timing cover. I"v tried heating up the bolt but no luck, I'm using a air impact tool but it still won't budge. Can anyone help. Thanks:notworthy:

Breaker bar and a 3lb hammer

sometimes trying to tighten it will help break it loose.

Kroil is a great lube to use.

You're sure the impact is up to snuff and you have good air pressure?

Thanks for the input all. Sorry i didn't get back to you sooner. I made a jig out of some angle iron and bolted it on the back of the crank across the engine stand to use as a brace and sure enought the nut broke loose. The block and heads are in the machine shop now getting hot tanked. New bearing and rings and value job. Hope I don't have to sell the cat to pay for the work. Thanks again for the support
