Ok so im at the point in my restore where im going to start cleaning the jeep up. I have the drivetrain finished and where I want it everything now is cosmetic. First things first its time to do the frame. I have a set of poly body mounts on the way and I want to bring the body about 2 inches off the frame and get everything painted before I put it back down.

I am just about sold on the Interior Frame coating stuff for the Inside. I have a pressure washer that goes over 300 degrees so I can inside and out get the frame pretty clean. I think if I could pull a wire brush through that may help to before I coat it.

As for the outside I have no idea what I want to do. My fame is solid and POR 15 is not really for me.. just overkill for what I need. Ive heard tractor paint from tsc, rustoleum, and others just want to see what yall think. Also any other tips and tricks would be great.

Also the next project is painting the bottom of the tub along with axles, springs, etc so a reccomendation here would be great also. And my jeep is a nice weather weekend machine only!! It will hardly ever see rain, never ever see mud, and rarely see a dirt or gravel road. Worst thing it will see is a little pasture at the farm so I would love something tough but bulletproof stuff like por15 is prob too much. WOuld prefer to rattle can but could use a spray gun if I have to. Thanks in advance!!

I used rattle can bedliner on mine. It's not the really good bedliner but it should hold up as well as or better than paint. I put it on top of a coat of rustoleum auto primer.

If you prep your frame right you can use engine enamel
I used 3 1/2 cans and it covers great best part you can use what ever color you want
it will cost under 30 bucks and looks and holds up good

Man that looks nice. I did not think about that thats a good idea thanks man. Did you prime it during your prep or just remove surface rust and sand?

I used one of those all purpose scuffing wheels on a drill
than wiped it down with degreaser than sprayed the enamel :chug: took me a total of like 6 hrs
