Problem:
Ford 8.8 front axle. Yes FRONT. (The rear is a ford 9") 4:10 gears on both yehaw.
Question:
How in the hell did the previous owner put an 8.8 rear axle on the front of this thing? Reverse cut gear set? They used the ends of a 78" CJ7 for the knuckles/ hubs/ spindles and brakes. Everything functions but the 8.8 is an open carrier. Can I put a Detroit LSD in the front with a reverse cut gear set? (If that's what the Dr. Built)

WELCOME :chug:
You need to confirm it is in fact reverse cut gears be'n used.
A D/L is stupid-it doesn't care what direction it turns. :D
How about some more pictures of the 8.8 front? Never seen one in the front of anything
