Fuel line question

Need to replace the fuel line from pump to carb on my 86 CJ7 with the AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l . Can anyone tell me the size brake line and fittings to pick up? I will bend and flare the ends myself. I plan to stop by the parts store on the way home from work and did not drive the jeep today.

What I use, w/3/16" fittings

Poly-Armour Poly-Armour PVF Steel Brake Line Tubing Coil, 3/16" x 25' PAC-325: Advance Auto Parts

Stock pump to carb 5/16 fuel line.

It's 5/16" line. Copper works very well here.

I use the Poly Armor for all my brake and fuel lines. I run fuel rated hose from pump to carb, copper is a good upgrade.

That Poly tubing is also very good for airlines and air brake plumbing.
I used the copper because I had it, and saved me a trip to NAPA.
Have used copper many times since for fuel line work. It's very easy to work with.

Not on any of my newer Jeeps, new meaning 69-79. I have used copper for fuel lines on my L-head, F-head, and my Hit or Miss engines.
