I'm looking for a new sender for a 75 CJ5 , are the sendors at Morris Jeep made in the US? Thanks

More than likely. Mine has never worked correctly, so I learned what was full and what was empty. The plastic floats will sink fairly quickly. Fortunately I had a brass one lying around.

So, you would recommend keeping the brass float from my old sending unit? The tank is dry and has been for months and I remember gas coming out of the float when I pulled the sending unit off the tank.

(Sorry to hijack, but I have a new sending unit coming Thursday from Morris!:chug:)

If your brass one fits I'd keep it, as csuengr said, the plastic one with the Omix sender are junk.
The Omix one is the only one I see people selling, and they are Not made in the USA.

I have fixed a brass float before with a small butane torch and some solder.

Guess I need to dunk it in some water and locate the hole and get it repaired when the new sending unit comes in.

Thanks for the advice as always!:notworthy: :chug:
