I might be Way Off Course here....
BUT,
Those look like New Rear Springs in the Picture. Did you Install Them correctly? You might have "Flipped" them End for End and have Moved the Axle Back.
Usually one end is longer from the "Center Bolt".
OR
Did the Previous Owner install a different set of Springs?
And,
If the Diff is Hitting the Tank Rock Shield too, what is the Exhaust Doing Going over the Axle?
Is that messed up?
