I’m replacing the hoses that come from the two vent tubes on top of the fuel tank and attach to the liquid check valve; and the hose that goes from the liquid check valve to the upside down check valve; and the hose from the upside down check valve to the hard line that goes forward to the canister. They are all cracked.

My understanding is that fuel fumes exit the tank through the two vent tubes and make their way through these two check valves to the canister provided I am not upside down. I should be able to blow air in that direction through the hoses. Is that right? In my case I can’t blow air through unless I swap the direction I enter the upside down valve! This is different than all the pictures I’ve seen.

What am I missing?

Thanks. G

I think I figured it out. While I cant blow air in the direction of the canister, I believe there is a vacuum created from the canister and fumes are pulled and I am able to suck air through the check valve.

:)

Sounds correct.
