I found a jeep honcho I might be able to part. Can anybody give me the dates the good running gear was in them or where I could find?

This thread should be in "Jeeps other then CJ".
The Honcho package ran from 76-83.
They all had 44 axles front and rear.
The AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l and 360 were offered through the run.
The better options IMO,
76-83 manual transmissions T-18
80-83 T-176 /T-177
76-79 auto GM Turbo 400
80-83 auto 727
76-79 Transfer Case Dana 20

Hope this helps.

I'll add. Up to 1979 had a offset rear Dana 44 and pass side front Dana 44
After 1980, had a larger AMC20 rear. It is a centered rear diff and has one piece axle shafts. Unlike the cj's 2 piece. Front Dana 44 pumpkin went to the drivers side.

T-18 /t400 was discontinued in 1979 as was the Dana 20 /QuadraTrac

Anything after 1980 is different animal so to speak. I have one of each.:D

Yes, it was the J-20 not the J-10 that continued into the 80's with the T-18 .
