That's an Arizona Jeep, actually it's local to me here in Tucson. Putting a CJ7 top on a CJ8 was fairly common a few years ago. Word has that the Jeep is rough.

Not a fan of the look on an 8, but I have seen it done. I actually have seen pics of a CJ7 soft top on an 8 and it looked better than this one. That took some skilled work to add materials from another top. I still prefer the half top though.

By the way Extreme 4X4 (tv) built a trail rig from a scrambler and put a top from a 7 on it. It made sense for their application to hold rear seat passengers yet keep the load in the back.

This is The 'Rat Fink' by Ed "Big Daddy" Roth bobble body. It's mounted with a double ended screw to my dash pad that is kind of thrashed anyway.
