fuse box-'75 cj-5

would anyone happen to know just where i might be able to get a new or better fuse box for my jeep,it has the glass fuses. i just recently finished replacing the cowl seal not too long ago after finding rust holes and general rust spots under the windshield and as i went to move it closer to my outside water hose to see if it would still leaked it just clicked and then nothing.i looked over busadaves' thread about different things to check when problems might occur but after looking under the dash i think i found the culprit.there's rust on both top and bottom of the fuse box.i could probably just take the box out and clean it up,but there's a slight chance that the same thing may happen again.also on the inside firewall i noticed about a three inch hole between the steering shaft and the fuse box which i'll have to put sheet metal on.in the mean time i really need to take care of the fuse box issue first.i have plenty of glass fuses so that's not a problem.thanks in advance for any help/suggestions from anyone.

Converting over to the newer style fuses does sound like quite an electrical project, good luck with that. That fuse box you are looking for might be found at a local electronic parts house or an online speed shop like Jegs or Summit.

I replaced mine with a EZ wire kit. cost less then 200 shipped for the 18 circuit kit. They are marked every couple of inches with where they go. Seems like a giant chore but if your willing to remove the old harness to clean, repair and reinstall it you should be ok with installing a aftermarket kit. If its something you decide to do le tme know and I can give you some helpfull tips.
