Gas

Everytime I fill the jeep up and park it, i find the I have gas leaking. The first time it leaked, it produced enough to run to the back bumper and then stopped. Now everytime I fill up I put a bucket under where the leak is. It comes from directly under the driverseat. I can't see up in there because of the skid plate. I put my hand in the space and it is wet from gas, but can't pin point. Anyone ever seen something like this?

Your gona have to get a little dirty and trace exactly what and were it is leaking from and go from there. The fuel return line runs from your fuel filter near the carb. down and along the driver side frame rail and back to the tank, it goes from hard pipe to hose and back in a few spots and thats probably the culprit. A good flashlight and a cosmetic mirror robbed from the sig. other works well in tight spots.

i'd just pull em out and replace em problem fixed, i mean they are 34 yrs old and probably could use new lines anyhow. not to mention its pretty cheap insurance against breakdowns, fire, explosions, etc. caused by a leaking fuel system.
