Gear pattern opinions

Looking for an opinion from people who have set up gears. The first pic I was told way too deep. I backed of the pinion depth and reset the backlash. In the second pic, it looks like if I back off anymore, the comet will run over the crown of the tooth. Patrick, sorry I went off yesterday. Was getting frustrated.

Not a good pattern.
Try to get it better centered on the ring gear.
