Wondering what makes the pads return to "open" after brake is released.
I'm just finishing up install of new hub bearings, spindle, new hub/rotor, caliper, and brake pads - with much help from this forum, Thank You
I can clearly see how the the caliper pushes on the pads to squeeze them against the rotor to make things stop, but I would think there should be some sort of spring or something to pull the pads back to an open position. Or do they just always rub lightly on the rotor?
Also think that the new rotor may be slightly warped. If I pull the pads out a little, then spin the wheel, there is one spot that rubs as it rotates.
Issue with that?
Thanks.
