'83 Jeep cj, 258, auto
I have a 1983 Jeep CJ7 auto Transmission with a weber carb. I want to get rid of the rat's nest of wires under the hood. I will do the nutter bypass, but I want to know if the computer controls anything else. My problem is the engine of the jeep is being rebulit right now so I want to clean up the wiring before I put it back in. If the computer does not have any effect other than the ignition module, I want to yank it and all the wires
 
AFAIK, the computer just controls the emissions, carb. You can do a Nutter safely.
