It has been raining non stop for over 24 hours. To say I'm tired of the rain is an understatement. I'm not talking about a steady spit either, a downpour for the majority of the time with slight moments of just hard rain... 
I'm on pretty high ground so flooding is not an issue though the creak behind my property line is moving a fair amount of water right now.
I had a five gallon bucket on the back patio before the rain started and it is now overflowing - what's that? About 8" or so? Sure does seem like more.
What I am tired of is not having any power. The juice stopped flowing around eight or so last night and briefly started up again around ten thirty. That was followed by two rather large explosions (transformers) and as of now (1:45) I'm still without...
I'm not in the mood to fire up the generator so since it's relatively cool (77 deg) inside - I have done allot of sleeping. I needed to catch up on my rest anyhow.
I did come into work for a bit this morning to grab a spare UPS to keep the Tunze circulation pumps going in my saltwater tank and I'm back again to charge up my dead one. It's a 1400kva unit and will run the pumps for a good sixteen hours or so. I'm hoping they get the power restored so I don't have to make a trip back.
Speaking of restoring power, I'm can't say enough good things about the people that work their butts off during storms so people like me can have power. I'm not sure I could ever do that, I'd probably get ticked off and say to heck with em' - what did they do for me!
