Well I haven't made much progress on my 75 CJ5 in the last couple of months and my wife had to have surgery on her ankle she destroy in a slip. There wasn't even any drinking involved. So I am thinking about trading my 98 mustang gt in for a TJ. Don't hate for thinking about a TJ. My mustang sits in the garage and I only have put 5k on it in 3.5 years and my 17 year old is getting ready to drive and I can't imagine how much my insurance will go up and I don't even drive it here in the DC area. I am getting ready to retire out of the military and I want to get things squared away before Im done here. Any comments or suggestions...:chug:

I think the TJ Rubicon was the best Jeep ever made and I would love to have one I say go for it.

I had a 1998 mustang gt myself (got rid of it last year). I could not imagine allowing my 17 year old to drive it. That said, I rolled my first Jeep (a 1975 CJ5 ) when I was 17 or 18...

TJ's not as cool as CJ's, but better than YJ's !

I love my CJ but wouldn't count on it as a daily driver especially for my kid.. But my TJ I never worried about driving.. It's fuel injected, coil overed and they handle a lot better then a CJ/YJ ever did. I actually traded my 98 TJ on 33's for a mustang cobra and regretted it almost immediately, then even more when I got my first insurance bill.. I'm hoping to get back into a TJ or JK in the next year or two as a DD.

Well We did it. We went to the dealership to look at a 2000 TJ and fell in love with this 2004 TJ Rubicon. It was a bit more money but we were drawn to it. Check it out

:notworthy: very nice Jeep

Now I can take my time on the CJ5 and get it right cause I was itching to drive it. Of later this week and hope to take care of the rear main seal and the temp gauge isn't working. :chug:
